Blogging Blues

hi readers! i have come down with the blogging blues. not sure how to cure it really. perhaps a little break. it is not lack of content to write...there are blog hops and link-ups for that, it has now become a matter of finding time to blog. i get so tired easily now coming home if i am lucky by 8:30pm each night. all i want to do is sleep. not even eat but sleep. (zzzz). 

i am here off and on and will give update and as more time opens up, i will post more. love reading your post and i get around to at least 10 a day and try to leave a comment if i can. how do you get through your blogging blues?

4. What talents do you have?--umm, i am good with people of all cultures and nationalities

5. Are you psychic in any way?--no

7. How many pillows do you sleep with?--2 to 3

8. What position do you usually sleep in?--fetal and on the side

9. Have you ever tried archery?--yes, at camp

10. What’s the longest you’ve ever gone without sleep?--48 hours. i procrastinated on a paper due in 2 days and it needed to be 20+pages

11. Do you have any scars?--yes

12. Have you ever had a secret admirer?--i am sure i have. they have not reveled themselves yet :(

13. Can you do any other accents other than your own?--yes, british, australian, scottish, irish, and african

14. Are you a good judge of character?--sometimes

15. Can you curl your tongue?--yes

16. Are you a clean or messy person?--clean

17. How long does it take for you to get ready?--about an hour

18. Do you have much of an ego?--depends, but i am confident

19. Do you talk to yourself?--yes

20. Do you sing to yourself?--i sing in the shower

21. Can you name all 50 states of America?--yes, well, i can sing them. you know the song "The United States"? and in alphabetical order too!

23. What makes you nervous?--presentations and one on one meetings

24. Do you correct people when they make mistakes?--depends on the mistake

26. Have you ever been in a position of authority?--yes, i am now at work. 

27. How many piercings do you have?--just my ears so two

28. Can you roll your Rs?--in speaking spanish...yes

29. How fast can you type?--fast i think

30. What are you allergic to?--lots, nuts, seafood, some meds

31. Do you keep a journal?--does a blog count?

32. Do you like your age?--yes, i do now. i am the big 30 :)

33. What makes you angry?--pet peeves do and not being appreciated

34. Were your ancestors royalty?--yes, they are (in Africa). both my grandfathers on my mom and dad's side are traditional rulers/kings of their areas. 

One year ago today....

hi readers! it is Tuesday and today is a unique day for me and here is why....it is my one year anniversary. unique you may ask, well, it is not an anniversary of a relationship or anything like that, it is one of the beginning of series of eye surgeries to fix my detached retinas. 

you see, this time last year 9/23/14 i could not see. my vision was so blurry and bad due my retina in my left eye detaching (and then my right eye followed one month later) that i could only see really big objects like people and cars, but that was really it and it was a struggle. so thus began my series of surgeries to fix the issue. thank goodness i went to the right doctor the first time and did not have to go back and forth or to the ER first. who knows what or who the doctor that day could have been and they may not have been able to restore my vision. it was scary to say the least. today is the day that started it all. 3 surgeries later, my eye sight is still improving and i am healing and progressing. i may never get back to perfect 20/20 vision again, but i can sure see my loved ones, function, drive again, day and night, and so far so good to the point where my check-ups are now every 6 months rather than every month. i am so thankful for my sight and continue to thank the higher powers above for allowing me this opportunity! so...HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY EYES!!! i hope you continue to see clearly all that you want to see!!!

Monday Updates

hi readers! i sure have been out for a while in the blog world. just been really busy with all sorts of things. here is a quick update...

--sports season is here...GO NOLES! now we just need to keep our QB out of trouble.

--work has been interesting. why are they not fully staffing an office and they knew the person was going to be out for a period of time before hand b/c she was having a baby? 

--i am not a fan of meetings, sometimes i wonder why this could not be done over the phone rather than the drive

--i have been exercising a lot lately and i just did my first 5K Heart Walk. it was a lot of fun and there must have been at least 1000 people there. i am actually looking forward to the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk in October. 

--so happy it is fall and enjoying this cooler weather. it will at least make exercising more bearable.

quick update--i had today off from work. bye-week for my favorite college football teams, walked over 3 miles today and for some reason my legs burned...ouch. working on a project at work to see how we can keep students at the college...childcare is a HUGE issue. finding great amazon deals and products to review so that is nice. still doing this free site called Bubblews, where you are paid to blog. not much, but it does add up and quick. if you want to join in on the freebies and reviews...send me an e-mail (obikechi@gmail.com) or leave a comment here!
