Sunday Stealing x 2

happy Saturday! Time for Sunday Stealing (that I do on Saturday) times 2 this week b/c i missed last weeks :( just had not zeal to blog. here we go!

Let's talk about BOOKS! (from last week click HERE) (yea remember those before the internet and smartphones and instant notifications with apps...yea, those!)

1:Favorite children's book--Where the wild things are.

3:Books on your to read list--too many, but now mostly juicing books right now

4:Top 5 authors--rl stien, steven king, zora neal hurston, toni morrisson, maya angelou

5:Favorite genres--mystery/drana

6:A book that has made you extremely mad--Roots

7:A book that you've cried over--Beloved

8:A book that made you laugh out loud--101 jokes for kids book

9:Fiction or nonfiction?--fiction

10:First book you've read by your favorite author--Goosebumps series by RL Stein

11:Best book-to-movie adaption--so far Hunger Games was not bad

12:Do you read comics/manga?--not really, unless in the sunday newspaper

13:Hardcovers or Paperbacks?--e-reader? either one is fine with me!

14:Do you buy books as soon as they come out or wait a while?--wait a while ie/till they are in the library.

15:Do you buy books spontaneously without any prior knowledge of what happens in it?--sometimes

16:Have you ever bought a book based on the cover alone?--yes, but i cheat and read the little back summary too!

17:Where do you usually buy your books?--Amazon.com or a Thrift Store

18:Book that had a strong impact on you--self help/Growing closer to God Books, The Bible

19:Historical or science fiction?--historical

20:Dystopian or Utopian?--Dystopian, nothing is really perfect

21:Worst book-to-move adaption?--twilight (maybe I just did not care for all the hype)

22:Book that should have a movie adaption?--self help/religious books

23:The first book you've fallen in love with--Goosebumps and Fear Street series

24:Humor or angst?--humor

25:How many books do you own?--too many to count

26:Do you go the library?--yes :) it is nice in there and still quiet.

27:How many books do you read a year?--i think 4

28:Favorite "required reading" book?--There eyes were watching God by Zora Neal Hurston

29:Favorite quote?--"don't give up, just breath"

30:A book you absolutely hate--the ones required for classes and math books!

What was your first job like?--it was tiring. i worked the night shift in a college dorm
 
It’s a typical Sunday, how are you spending it?--being lazy, getting ready for Monday, last minute laundry
 
What was the happiest day of your life?--being alive each day! getting my sight back has been a HUGE plus and happiness over flowing.

What was the best decision you ever made?--to finish my masters and never give up!

Tell your go-to “pretend” game as a child (who was your alter-ego?)--no pretend game as a child, i just lined up my dolls and bears and pretended to play school.
 
What email service do you use?--yahoo and gmail and now work e-mail

What fandoms would you consider yourself a part of?--sports, and reality tv shows, like real housewives. i also love Law and Order SVU.
 
Do you use anything on your lips? (eg. Chapstick, gloss, balm, lipstick) --all of them! and shea and cocoa butter too!

How many devices do you own which can access the internet?--3; cellphone, computer, and e-reader
 
Last strong smell you can remember smelling?--my perfume and the aroma of things cooking.
 
If you had to move your birthday to another date, which one would you choose and why?--July 4, b/c i was so close to it anyway as a Jul 2 baby.

Inspiration behind your blog title?--Eloquent Rambles...i like to talk alot and try to do so in a manner that is simple, nice, and sweet (with a touch of humor)

If you could spend a rainy day with anyone in the world, who would you choose and why?--my grandfather since he has passed. it would be nice to get some last minute wisdom and advice.
 
Is there a foreign culture that you love?--African and Italian/
European

Do you have a favorite soft drink?--anything diet really. but i am a HUGE fan of sweet tea.

  1. I love sweet tea, and it has been so long since I had any good sweet tea. I drink a cup of decaf tea in the morning and use a spoonful of honey in it but it isn't the same as the good ol' southern sweet tea I grew up on.

  2. The Goosebumps books were big with my son so I read some of them along with him. We also watched the show every day when he got home from school. I always enjoyed them...just enough scary for me. lol
