whaoo! we did it. blogged everyday in July...or at least played catch up when needed. this last day, day 31 is about who in history you want to spend the day with and why?
hmmm, for me, i have no famous history person but i do have a person i miss that i want to spend the day with it is,,,my Grandpa! i was young when he passed and i do not remember much of him or really have any pictures of him etc. it has been close to 15 years since he passed. lots have happened in that time with me, life, technology etc. i would want to spend time with him so that he could see me now, pass on wisdom to me, and i could get some pics. at least he passed in his sleep with no pain or even illness, it was just his time to go. i miss him and if i could spend a day with him it would be incredible!
you all ready for the "happy" blogging in August challenge? i am :)
~eloquently rambling...
I only had one 'horrible grandmother' and a hen-pecked and pussy-whipped grandfather in my life. Wishing to spend a day with either would never be a wish of mine. I am glad you had a good one~
ReplyDeleteI did! I did not know him well due to distance by continents, US and Africa but I heard many stories about him. he visited when he could, but i was a baby and as he got older it got harder to make such the long trip and he had other duties to take care of at home. we did write some, but sometimes mail got lost. bad country i tell you!
DeleteI wish I had good grandparents, both sets weren't who I would want to spend time with.
ReplyDeleteoh no Jen, you too! I am so sad to read about no so great grandparents :( you are a great person regardless of them!!
DeleteMy grandparents were awesome, too! I think grandparents should be that way as a rule. I'm sorry Paula and Jen didn't get to experience that.
ReplyDeleteme too! they are or are supposed to be pretty neat and spoil you! glad you had a good experience Flora!
