day 2 of the JULY blog challenge! (click pic above to go the challenge) so this day is about advice you would offer a newborn child. you know that is so ironic about this day and post and question...on this day july 2 in 1984 i was a new born! happy b-day to me. hmmm, i wonder, what advice would i have wanted. let's see, i would have wanted the advice to "be adventurous" and to "make sure you have at least one or two marketable skills". going to college was nice and i loved it (GO NOLES!!!) but with the world/economy today it is those with a skill that are getting jobs like the teachers, pharmacist and their techs, doctors, manufacturing, nursing, IT folks. i do wish as of today that i had these skills. yes, i have an education and that is great, however, having a skill would be better as of right now.
**in other news...my day today:
it was a good day! it is my b-day. the folks at work and lots of friends remembered, that was very touching and humbling. i am the BIG 29...1 more year to the BIG 3-0. parents and bro gave me a card and a nice dinner. my love called me numerous times, wrote me a sweet message on fb, and got me 2 coach bags (i will get the secret on how he did it out of him later!). i got numerous (over 100) facebook happy b-day wishes. ummm, where did all of them come from?? LOL! some people i have not heard from in months, yet i have happy b-day on my wall??!! getting back to them all soon! my co-workers got me flowers, a funny card, cupcakes and pizza! we had ourselves a nice little office party :) and i also got a nail and pedicure spa certificate from a friend and that was really nice and thoughtful too. my boss sent me a talking cat e-card. it was the cutest thing ever it said my name and everything. wow! overall, it was really a good day...best one yet! cheers to a great year with lots of kindness, love and success!
~eloquently rambling...
